A selection of my personal photographic projects over the years.

My style has naturally shifted with time — in both subject matter and technique — but one thing has stayed the same: I’m drawn to moments, people, and places that feel singular.

Nostalgia has always been a quiet undercurrent in my life. Photography has become a small, personal way of leaning into that feeling. It lets me linger a bit longer; helps me make peace with time.

DIEGO CALVO
Personal Project

Diego Calvo is a Spanish entrepreneur and creative visionary best known as the founder and CEO of Concept Hotel Group, a collection of boutique hotels in Ibiza that blend retro aesthetics, art, and music culture. Each of his hotels feels like a world of its own.

From the moment I met Diego I sensed there was something more than shared tastes between us. I felt drawn to the way he builds hotels not just as places to stay but as time machines of aesthetic and atmosphere. When I first asked Diego to let me photograph him, he didn’t hesitate. We walked through rooms he designed, each corner curated down to the door handle, while I trailed behind with the camera.  As the series unfolds, I plan to photograph not just Diego but the people who orbit his world: the staff, the DJs, the late-night visitors, the artists doing micro residencies in his hotels...

Diego’s world is built on optimism. He has that rare quality of making everything sound possible, as if each day could still surprise him. Watching him walk through his hotels, greeting the staff by name, adjusting a lamp or moving an ashtray slightly to the left, you can tell this isn’t just business for him. It’s a way of life, a constant act of creation. He sees things not for what they are but for what they could be. He told me he likes to surround himself with things that have already lived. “They carry energy,” he said. I understood him instantly.
